Is it just me or are quickenings WAAAAAAAAAY overpowered? When I can hit 16000 damage with 3 level 12 characters... (Yeah, I killed Rocktoise with level 12 characters. Kinda weird.) I'm gonna have to do a "no quickenings" challenge after I finish the game.

lol - I used a quickening like...4 times... I thought they were dumb and didn't know how to string them together.... so yeah... I haven't used them pretty much the entire game.

Man, I freaking LOVE quickenings!
You know what else I love? The fact that I want to do all the extra stuff in this game. Ace mate.

Last time I used quickenings I got a 15 combo (maybe I was just lucky). Anyway, given what this thread's about, I thought you guys might find this slightly amusing... project-apollo.net/text/rpg.htmlAlthough, looking at FFXII, it's managed to evade falling into a good portion of these. Maybe that's part of what makes it so good...

Is my family the only one who has issues with saving in this game? I swear, sometimes it'll say that it saved, then when I go back to load it, it's reverted back to an old file. Happened to my sister twice, and to me once (although all I noticed was that I had to start the Gil Snapper hunt again)

No problems with saving here; but I am having hardcore problems with Zemorus. I think it's the fact that I am ridiculously underleveled, but I keep trying! Ahaha.

3 things: LOTS of quickenings, LOTS of phoenix downs, and a fair amount of ethers. Just make sure you always have at least 2 people alive and reviving other characters (both party and reserves). Start by using every character's MP towards quickenings (since you can't use magick anyway). When everyone's out of MP, feed one character ethers and start another quickening chain. If you get a finishing blow better than Inferno (happened everytime for me, got luminescence a few time, which was very useful), it has the added bonus of killing all the Dark Lords, giving you more time to revive and ether someone up.
This worked on my second try, and I had...
Level 37 Vaan Level 31 Fran Level 31 Penelo
as my active party to start, and
Level 29 Balthier Level 28 Basch Level 28 Ashe
as my reserves. All characters have all 3 quickening levels. I burned through about 6 ethers and 20 phoenix downs. Get at least a 10 chain with every quickening (and have a fair bit of luck on your side) and its a piece of cake. Oh, and make sure everyone has all 3 phoenix lores, ether lores, and swiftness lisences, it'll help out a lot.
Does that help?

Well, I got Cucculain or whatever his name is. He was pretty much the hardest battle that I have fought in a little while, thankfully. I was starting to lose hope on these bosses. All I usually have to do is attack for a little while, maybe a Curaja and then they're dead. Right now I am doing the Cocatrice sidequest, then I think i'll go after the medallions maybe? Or i'll beat the Phobos at Ridorana or whatever it's called. Then i'll get all the extra goodies and beat all the extra bosses
