Hey guys,
I'm coming back to DDR after taking a year off. Before I used to be able to get AA on pretty much any standard song. Now I'm having trouble because I keep getting more GREATS than PERFECTS.
I have a new pad, the CF pad, used to have a Red Octane with a piece of heavy particle board inside. Is the CF pad less sensitive?
Also, I used to have a Sony VEGA CRT, now I have a samsung plasma. I use the PS2 for both, and I use component cables for both. I'm wondering if maybe there is a slight delay with plasma TVs that is causing the screen and dance pad to be out of sync.
It could be my timing is just off since I haven't played in awhile, but I feel like my muscle memory is still there because I get the large combos, just with GREATS instead of PERFECTS.
If anyone has had similar experiences, please share. It would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Also, I used to have a Sony VEGA CRT, now I have a samsung plasma. There's your problem. The delay from using a plasma will cause things to get out of sync. There should be an option somewhere in the settings menu that lets you adjust the timing windows a few milliseconds early or late; just play with that value until it "feels right".
