A bit of backstory! A while back I found this forum and it was my inspiration to use DDR to lose 30 pounds, and sadly i've only lost ten more pounds since then. I am 6'4 and 210, trying to get down to 180-190, and I'm SO out of the dieting loop..
I'm trying to lose weight ASAP for two reasons:
1) I'm leaving for college and 2) I feel like as a gay guy there's an expectation for me to be in better shape
So, what do I do? Can I just go to the tried and true 1300 calorie diet and get some results?
Haha, wow, I never thought it'd take me this long to get to my ideal weight, but there's no time like the present!

There's a TON of diets that I have done, and honestly, as fun as it is to loose 5 lbs in a week... it's true what they say. It doesn't stay off long. The best thing you can do is be consistent with something you will be able to stick with in college. Keep up the exercise routine... obviously. You just need to keep at that no matter what. If you want to throw your body off (as it sounds like it has adjusted to your routine) throw in something to whack it out of line. Maybe do some free weights between songs (or during light songs), or maybe do a few push-ups in between.... there are several ways you can trick your body back into high gear. As far a "dieting"... I have had the best results not so much cutting calories, as I have cutting out simple starches. And you don't have to get all Atkins on yourself... just make some conscientious decisions..... if you go out to eat, avoid pastas and sandwiches. They are death on the body..... get a piece of chicken or steak with veggies and a potato or something. Or most anything else... just not pastas, sandwiches, or anything deep fried obviously. If you go somewhere that you really want the burger just get it no bun. It's actually really easy once you get the hang of it. So avoid simple carbs and avoid junk food and avoid super sweets. Change up your routine slightly to trick your body. These two combined and I have every confidence that you can loose those last 20 lbs in no time.
