Does anyone sell Ignition-style (e.g. foam insert, raised buttons) "doubles" pads? e.g. pads in that style that are sewn together?
I'm much prefer not to have to tape/sew/who-knows-what two pads together, and I prefer Ignition/DX-style pads over hard ones (mostly because they tend to last longer and because the hard ones are never arcade-like enough for me)

I was never able to play double on anything other than metal pads/arcade play. It's like suicide.

I feel like this could be really dangerous for doubles play. I always have my pad slip and slide when i'm playing, and I play on the konami mat that comes with the DDR package or whatnot. That problem got fixed with one of those rug-stay things that you put under area rugs on hardwood.
Another thing to be wary of is the fact that somehow you could affect the censor. You don't want to over-stitch and make one of the arrows not work! Maybe try just taping them together or something?
