Dance Mat Problem

I plugged in my mat today and started a song, but I soon found out, for some reason, that the mat would only accept one foot at a time. So that means if I have my foot on the left arrow already, I can't hit any others unless I take my foot off. Annoying as hell.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Oh well, since the Ignitions are back I have a good excuse to get one =D

Are you playing on Stepmania? I had this problem before, is this the first time that this has happened?

Nope, I'm playing DS Fusion on my PS2.

We ended up fixing it, one of the tracks inside the soft mat was broken, so we opened it up and put 10 layers of paper foil on each side of it. Works perfectly now =)
