Hi, this is my first post, and who could've guessed it would be about the pain I experienced playing DDR.
To start off, I got my first DDR game back in late October, and I try to play every other day on Standard/Heavy. I've been doing other things to help lower my weight, but honestly I use DDR as my main cardio.
Things are going pretty well. My starting weight was between 140-143 and now I'm steady at 131. Being 5'3" and female, I guess that's okay. However I really, really want to kick it up a notch, so I've been trying to do songs that are harder, but it's like my feet and brain are playing tug-o-war and don't want to cooperate. So I'm stuck doing mostly Standard songs ;(
I played DDR Extreme, and today I discovered the mini-games. I also discovered a strange problem. Whenever I play the racing game, my breathing suddenly becomes extremely shallow and I get a 'stitch' in my side. It's seriously like breathing through a straw! I even make this weird 'death rattle' noise if I keep going.
I'm just concerned because this doesn't happen when I play the game normally. I don't have any family history of asthma... Does anyone have any guesses? I'm hoping it's one of those things that will go away if I keep exercising.
Anyway, Happy HannuKwanzmasDays!

No real guesses, but it may be something to bring up with your doctor the next time you see him (or her).
