I've been blabbing all over this board about We Cheer, and since I don't see a review here, I thought I'd talk about it since everyone ddr's here anyway.
We Cheer is a great game for adults, as well as kids/teens. The moves are both upper body (like Helix) and lower body (like ddr); the difference is, you use two wii remotes, and no nunchuck, so no cords, enabling you to spin, twist, kick, and jump like a real cheerleader. A lot of guys who bought this for their daughters said they got sucked into playing it, too. The routines are over 2 minutes long in most cases, which is amazing. You DO need to devote a chunk of time to learning them, as they are sharp, quick, and on the beat, not to mention clean moves, since they are dance/cheerleading.
There are 30 routines in all, and each routine can be played on an easy/hard mode. Each song is rated for difficulty from 1-5 stars. The cheerleaders are very sweet and not sarcastic at all. there's a couple load screens to a+b thru, but great uniforms to choose from and you can play against up to 4 friends.
I'm thinking this may be the most advanced dance game that ever comes out for the wii. It's a game that gives you so much I can see the average person taking a year or more to get this whole video game down. Maybe more?
I don't play my We Cheer to score high, so much as I play to master all the routines with all the nuances of the turns, jumps, spins, and of course all the sharp cheerleading upper body motions. I'm impressed by myself doing it each day. Like ddr, it's a great time.
I really LOVE this game. I hope they make another just like it, but my fear is that they will make it easier next time, and therefore, the replay value will go down for me, but that remains to be seen. As it is, if you love to dance or learn wholebody routines, try We Cheer
(the all star cheer squad for wii i have not heard much good at all for; you need to stand on the wii balance board and you can't really dance very well on that or with a nunchuck. i plan on buying all star cheer squad just to have it becaus ei'm a dance freak, but don't expect to get too much out of it, and nothing like i do in We Cheer.)
