Hey everyone! I've been checking this website off and on for a while now, and finally decided to start posting. I used to play DDR a few years ago and was able to do most heavy songs, but the closer I got to finishing college, the less I played. After graduating, I started working full time and just felt tired everyday coming home from work. I haven't really played on a regular basis since then.
For as long as I can remember I've been overweight. I'll be turning 28 later this year, and I finally decided that I wanted to do something about it before I hit 30. I've tried going to the gym before and I even tried taking up running. Not that I've completely given up those things, but I remembered that DDR was pretty fun back when I was playing regularly. So I got everything I needed to start playing again....I even splurged a bit and bought a used Cobalt Flux metal pad from someone locally (I hate playing on soft pads). I've been playing just about every other day now for about an hour, and surprisingly I can still handle some heavy songs, but I notice my stamina is definitely not what it used to be.
In a perfect world I would want to lose about 40-50 pounds total. I know it's going to be a long process, so I'm just focusing on taking baby steps at the beginning.
