Best non-metal dance pad?

I'm probably going to end up getting a metal dance pad sooner or later, but for the time being...

What's the best foam pad for PS2? I've let myself be lured into getting those cheaper "wholesaler" pads on eBay, which slide around a lot (especially on our new laminate floor) and have been quitting on me after only about a month. The first foam pad I had lasted about three months, but I was only playing on Beginner/Basic (Light/Standard) then, and it quit on me about the time I started doing 4s on Basic and Difficult/Heavy. The buttons sometimes fire when they aren't supposed to (even when I'm paying attention and my foot is nowhere near the button that fires) and stick if I have to hit them hard or stand on them for more than a second.

I got an "Energy High Dense" pad from a different seller on eBay in the hopes it would be better--it cost a lot more, so it had BETTER be an improvement. It should show up later this week, so we'll see.

Best one I've used was the RedOctane Ignition 2.0 (not the currently available 3.0), with the insert from the now defunct LevelSix foam pad. The Ignition's upper surface was a bit more supple, which resisted cracking longer than other pads I've used, and the LevelSix foam was just a hair thicker and more dense than anybody else's foam.

The Energy pad I got was a little bit better, especially for being able to feel where the buttons are, but it also very quickly started being less responsive--and now it seems the left button sensor has shifted toward the middle and a bit up, so that I have about three by six inches to stand on in the center without hitting the left button. And the left button keeps firing when I hit the up button, so if I have a left arrow right after an up arrow, I miss it because the left button's already fired and won't fire again in time. >.<

I'm getting one more foam pad because I can't afford a metal one this month, but it's the last one.
