Hey all. I found this site and I really really wanted to join...even though it's 1:56 AM where I am right now and I really need to go to bed, I forced myself to stay up JUSTTTT a little longer just to join this site. xD
Okay, well...I'm 14. And I've been a couch potato, for, like...ever. I don't like competitive things, because I don't like the feeling of thinking everyone is blaming you if the team loses. So, all the sports I've tried, I've hated. Hence the couch potato-ness. And in summer, I just get worse, because I don't walk around as much as I typically do. And I don't get much sun, either. I've been thinking that I REALLY need some sort of motivation to just get out there and go.
I adore DDR. I have for years. Everytime a mat breaks, I go out and get a new one. Because I just have to have it. We've played it at school for gym class before, and despite my lack of playing sports and how low my stamina is, I beat everyone I played against at DDR. I love it.
My mom is always supporting me in telling me that I should play DDR at least an hour a day. So, I tried, and I was actually keeping it up for a week for so...until my end of the year exams came along and I started focusing more on my tests and less on my DDR. Eventually, I just didn't feel like doing it anymore.
BUT. Now, as I'm going to tell you, I'm a complete nerd. xD I love anime. To death. So, I'm going to an anime convention in August...and that has really boosted myself into wanting to get myself in shape to be able to walk around the convention allll day long without getting the least bit tired. Also, it gives me motivation to practice DDR because there's going to be a DDR tournament at the convention! I've been working on trying to get rid of my acne problem, brushing my teeth twice a day for the first time in ages, and just in general try to look better.
I figured this forum would be another step in trying to get rid of my couch potato anime nerd habits. ^_^
