Why would red octane sponsor konomi? I sure as hell wouldn't if I were them. Are we talking dedicab tournament or are we talking soft pad? What are the tournament rules? Info! Info! I'm not willing to make the drive unless it's worth my while.

Why would red octane sponsor konomi? I sure as hell wouldn't if I were them. Why would the leading seller of foam insert pads, to the point that the whole style of pads is refered to as "ignition-style", sponsor a DDR tournament at a small gaming convention that likely to use said pads in their tournament? It's not sponsoring Konami, it's sponsoring a convention, and that likely only costs them the costs of a few pads plus shipping. If that advertising sells one Ignition, or even better, an Afterburner, it turns a profit for them. If you're referring to the ITG lawsuit. RO was just a publisher, they didn't get burned like Roxor did. ITG had pretty much sold 90% of what it was going to sell through retail channels, and the publisher doesn't have to put much in the way of investment into a game until it's published, so I'd wager they didn't lose anything on ITG2. And let's not forget that RedOctane basically owes their existence to DDR, and by extension, Konami. No DDR, no need for third party peripheral manufacturers, no RedOctane.
