i am currently 145 pounds at 5'7. i would really like to lose 10 to 15 pounds by the end of summer or sooner. ive played ddr for awhile now, but i recently just got into it to lose some weight. i play on heavy mode, but i often get tired. i was wondering how much i would need to play in a day if i only play 3 days a week on heavy mode. thanks

Well, there's a lot of factors here. How much are you eating, how much are you sleeping, what kind of difficulty are the songs on Heavy? What are your day to day activities?

Well, I'm not sure what the frequency of DDR you'd have to play is to lose weight, but I have to say that eating twice a day isn't very ideal for weight loss. I'd try eating 4-6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up. Try this for a while with your DDR, and you'll actually probably have a larger aerobic capacity, more energy for your workouts, and because of the boosted metabolism you'll likely end up losing weight from eating more food. Breakfast is paramount!

yeah even if it's something simple and light. There are some awesome options out there right now. Usually for breakfast I've been eating Special K bars. They're only 90 calories, and they are delicious. And if I'm ever craving a snack mid-day or in the evening, instead of snacking on crud, I've been stocking up on Jello Pudding packs made with splenda. It's only 60 calories per cup and they still taste awesome. Also they make Jello cups made with splenda that are only 10 calories per cup. Other good snacks are trail mix ( make it yhourself so it's not loaded with sugars), peanut butter and celery (yum!), nuts (my choice is almonds), and honey nut cherios.
As far as actual meals, my methods over the last two months have been no simple carbs...aka no breads, potatos, pastas. If you cook your own meals you are far more likely to loose weight as they aren't loaded with preservatives. Usually we make a few large meals a week and then skim on them. Grilling for us has been so key, but it doesn't have tgo be. Usually we cook up a bunch of steaks, burgers, chicken, whathave you and then eat that for the next three days or so. Then maybe a curry or a meat sauce with rice for the next few days. Like variety is key you know? Or you get bored and inch back into bad habbits.
Hope that helps some!
