Our ITG 2 Boxor died over a week ago (terrible withdrawls and SM doesn't help much with it) Well we got the sweet news that they already ordered a dedicated cabinet for us :-)
I can't even sleep I'm so excited., ya!!!!

put it this way.... after playing on the dedicated cabinet for a long time, DDR is a nightmare to me. I'm used to lighly tapping each arrow, instead of the forceful stomp I must apply to each step using DDR.

woah that is the same thing that happened to our arcade. The pads are terrible and give up even trying to play on the 2p side. The 1p side used to be okay, but they cleaned it and they just made it worse and accidently erased all of teh scores. I don't know how they made it worse, but the right arrow doesn't even respond. The owner put in an order for a dedicab. You will definately like it. They are awesome!!! There are 2 about a half hour from my house (1 is in canada ) and there's another one about an hour away.

It's so sad that arcades these days aren't run by techs anymore...

Little blurry, but still... *drools* All my arcade has is a DDR Extreme and a dying ITG... And a month and a half after the expected date? Geez... Talk about evil. I'd go crazy waiting that long. (I nearly did when my PS2 version of ITG was 3 weeks late )

I wish I could convince our local arcade to get a dedicab but I dont think that is going to happen, the owner of the shop realizes that DDR is his major money maker but wont do anything with it untill the current unit breaks down.
.......HMMMMM idea forming.........
question about ITG though, is it sold in retail outlets? or is it somthing you HAVE to order of the net? I have checked all my local stores and no one has it.

awsome, thanks for that!
one other question on the topic of ITG, does it only come in a bundle with a soft pad or am I missing on the site where they sell it seperatly?
EDIT: oh, I found it, I ordered it, now I have to wait 1-3 weeks for delevery, this is going to suck, I hate waiting.

I understand nothing in this topic. What's a dedicated cabinet mean?

A dedicated cabinet (or "dedicab") is a machine that's use with the intentional game it came with, not upgrades. For example, you can buy an upgrade kit to convert a DDR Extreme machine to ITG2, or you can buy a new cabinet that's meant to be played with ITG2.

Dedicabs are brand new machines that Roxor themselves make. The screen is bigger, wider and flat. The pads are a heck of a lot more sensitive (at least in my opinion, a light back heel tap registers when on the old Boxor, you had to hit it pretty good, alo easier on the hands too) and a quick push of the red button will take your screenshot. An ITG 2 Boxor (which is what broke back in March) is a converted DDR cabinet with ITG installed. Me on a Boxor: Dedicab:
