Hey all!
I'm pretty new to using a dance mat however i'm finding it great fun. Especially a great workout.
I have DDR: Hottest Party. I was just wondering if there are other dance games for the WII out there, if so can anyone let me know what they are so I can look more into them? Or even make suggestions to me to ones that are really good or really fun!
I'm really not that good at DDR yet though

The only other Wii game that I know of that has dance mat support is Dancing with the Stars, but the reviews have been pretty dismal for that one. Now, using the Gamecube backwards compatibility, there's DDR Mario Mix, which is still fairly hard to find.

So I rented Dancing with the Stars for my WII, I don't think they made the WII version compatible with the dance pad. I looked through the book and ended up going to Activisions website where they only said
"PlayStation®2 Dance Pad compatible Wii version features unique use of Wii controllers with special "flair" moves"
I'm so totally not impressed!!! What a waste of renting this game!!! Really really glad I didn't buy it!!!!
ARRRRRGH, I'm so frustrated--- going back to burn off some steam with ddr...

I've been playing DDR Hottest Party for the wii. I do have to say that I hope they make a sequel with the hand markers, I feel I get more of a full body workout rather than just my feet. I've been wearing arm weights for more effect.

Um, you don't need a WII to get your hands into the mix. See Groove for PS2 (which is actually a really good rhythm game IMO) www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkF81BqwficOr for DDR with hands, you have DDR Extreme 1&2 for PS2, and you get to use your hands in In The Groove (but in a different way).

We Cheer is an amazing full-body workout. You need two remotes, and no nunchuck, so you're tangle-free. 30 Routines! Really fun, and great songs. If you like dancing and want to really learn a 2 minute + actual dance routine, this game didn't pull any punches. It's a serious dance game, and takes a time commitment and WORK to master. lol which is why i think people spaz when they buy it and complain because it's not easy like, say, hannah montana, spotlight tour - which is fun too, but not difficult at all. We Cheer is marketed to kids, which puts adults off - or worse - makes us pass it by visually, thinking it's silly, without considering it as a bonafied exercise experience. But damn, that's a dance workout. Great investment. I use my We Cheer every day. I hope there's a WC2.

What are your thoughts on the "Just Dance" series for the Wii? It's not DDR, but it still looks like a pretty fun way to get up and move around.

Since the Wii U doesn't have GameCube ports, we might be out for DDR on the new console...unless Konami decides otherwise.
