;DOK, So I've been reading some of the comments in this forum and have noticed that many of us (myself uncluded) have been getting way off topic.. I know that it's very easy to run off and start posting just about anything. Especially things that has nothing to do with the subject. So what we are going to do is Try to stay with in the subject. If you find yourself about to post something that has nothing to do with the subject.. Just delete it or it will be deleted for you.. If there is anything that you need to mention to a current member, then leave that to "private messages"... We here at Getupmove, would like to provide a great atmosphere where every member can get their concerns answered. Also, as most of you have noticed.. There are 2 "NEW" forums call "GETTING PERSONAL" where you can basically have your own journal ( but please don't get carried away or it will be deleted) , and "BEFORE AND BETTER!!!" where you can post pictures of your progress (Please, no nude photos) .. Ok, well that's about it... Happy posting and Have Fun.. Farrah aka "Maria"

Ha! Seems like only 4 of us actually stay on topic (IE me and 3 other people ;D) I will be sure (just in the unlikely event) that if I go off topic I will edit it or delete it all togeather

but do you really need to stay on topic, sometimes it's fun to go off topic That's true... It is fun to go off topic, but if you do feel the need to "go off topic" (IE; If someone makes a comment that is funny) You can always private messenger the person and shoot the breeze there). If the topic is "why is this game so hard".. Comment why the game is hard to you and also encourage the people/person to keep at it.. Don't change the subject to "I seem to have a wedgy that just won't come out when I play" LOLOLOL.. ANyhue.. Gotta surf...

I think that'll make the subjects really short and boring...I mean, the subject eventually goes back to what it was originally about, doesnt it?

Most of the time yes but then again, this isn't YOUR forum technically. They may do as they wish

I think that'll make the subjects really short and boring...I mean, the subject eventually goes back to what it was originally about, doesnt it? LOL, no it never goes back to what it was originally.. I understand where you're coming from when you say "Short and Boring", but when you change the subject to "I wore my new shoes to school today", you get comments about the shoes you wore. All of a sudden, every one is commenting on shoes and not really paying any attention to the original "subject" that is "How Long Would It Take Me To Master This Game". You get what I'm saying?. See, when a person types in "How to Get to the next level of DDR" in a search engine. They'll want to get information on that particular subject. Now this person get's to this site thinking they'll find information about the game, but all they get is what shoes you wore today!?.. Makes no sense.. Now imagine if that was how all websites were.. You go onto the Gap.com.. Instead of clothes, all of a sudden they are selling everything but clothes.. Sucks right? How dissapointed do you think the customers would be when they can't find what they're looking for? I for one would be ticked... There is nothing wrong with making a new thread with the title IE,"Just Blabbing" I think people would be able to say whatever is on their mind without getting off topic..

that is a nice explanation, the world would be so unorganized if you don't stay on topic

Someone could always make a chat somewhere like IRC or some web based chat if you guys really want to go off topic. Just a suggestion. I mean, we all tend to get carried away when a conversation sparks but when it comes to forum, there's a limited amount of space so it's usually not the best place to go off topic and stay off topic. There's also journal places where you can make communities and even go off topic there. Just throwing some ideas around, if someone runs with any of these then please let me know.

What if you are actualy answering or posting a relating comment about the topic in a humurous and mildly stretched out way?..which i tend to uncontrolably do.

As long as it's within the subject, humor is much welcomed

How do I get the weight ticker to go in at the bottom, I have the code, just don't know what to do to make it show up. When you made your ticker, it gave you three pieces of code to copy and paste. You need to use the BBcode version, not the html version.

did this thread just go off topic? By "just" do you mean four months ago? If so, then yes. Sometime in January, it went off topic.
