Okay I was just watching CNN and well they said that some cans of soda contains unsafe benzene levels (which has been proven to cause cancer) but the FDA says nothin to worry about. (yeah right) www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/03/28/health/main1449352.shtml?source=RSS&attr=Health_1449352here is the link, it says it can form over time, check your expiration dates, but I think that even that might not help because how long was it sitting at the factory before they printed those exipiration dates, and soda last like a long time. But we all know how bad soda is for you anyways, now you know it is even worse than first thought.

AFAIK, soda does not have expiration dates, they only have production (or bottling) dates.

This is true. I have to sort through our pop supplies here and we go by the date which is popularly known as the 'born on date'.

I seem to recall the original Mountain Dew Code Black having expiration dates. I found that out after opening a can way past the date and ... well...
Heh, I reduced my calorie intake greatly thanks to that stuff being flat and nasty.
I don't see now anything with that many unpronouncable ingredients can be good for you anyway. I'll have one every rare once in a while, but don't feel right putting that kind of stuff in my body more than once every week or two. Even when I buy one, half goes to waste.
The great sage Joe Jackson once sang: "Everything gives you cancer." This was well over 20 years ago. Moderation and common sense seems to be the best preventative.

if you are like me and end up wasting half a can, I reccomend those mini-pop cans. Not only are they rediculously cute, they seem to be the perfect amount of pop I need - if and when the urge for soda does come.

I prefer my espresso machine. Just as dehyrdrating, twice as caffeinating, and none of the calories.
