I did it, I tried the soy milk. I LOVE IT! It goes on my cereal, in my green tea... omg WHY haven't I tried it before? I went semi-vegan last week. The only meat I've eaten is the butterball turkey bacon (big step down from the fatty pork) and wow, it's great! Just a little update form me, trying to push through this plateau.

oh wow... I'm suprised there are so many who aren't drinking milk around here... I find I can handle a liiiiittle bit of skim milk, but anything other than that and I usually end up ill. I'm too scared to try soy milk though.... it looks too thick, and I don't like sweet taste in my milk, ie: chocolate or vanilla or anything like that.

They make plain soy, it tastes nutty to me, my tongue and stomach can handle it just fine. I've never touched soy in my life so I'm very surprised!
(sorry I missed the soy thread, I don't tend to go back many pages :-p)

(sorry I missed the soy thread, I don't tend to go back many pages :-p) No apology necessary, just thought I'd dredge it up so folks could see what's already been said about it.

I didn't like soymilk myself too much before, but now they have this light stuff that tastes like milk with just a bit more flavor; it's really good!^^ I had it in instant mashed potatoes today and couldn't tell the difference between it and real milk. So try it. Besides, you're saving some poor moomoo's udder by doing so. XD

I like Soy milk and rice milk. I want to try Almond milk, that looks yummy. I hate cows milk and it really isn't good for you. Asian and African American people usually are lactose intolerant. My friend Shea is Asian/African American and she is lactose intolerant as well as my friend Rona, she is Chinese. Anyways yeah Cow's milk yucky soy milk yummy!!

Soy milk is amazing. I love the Silk vanilla on cereal. Chocolate is my favorite though. Has anyone tried the Coffee flavor?

I'm really not a fan of flavorings. I like it plain.

I drink "Light Chocolate Soy Milk" because I hate the Strawberry stuff, Vanilla only taste good in cereal and tea, and the normal Chocolate has a lot of calories. My mom doesn't like that kind I get though because it's wicked chocolatey

It's soooo good for you too. Soy Milk contains almost everything vegans lack by not eating meat. (Vitamin Fortified Soy Milk that is...ie Silk) It has as much Calcium as milk, plus Vitamin B12, Omega 3's, Iron, etc...I love the stuff.
