Okay I promised I would give instructions and a taste rating on my tofurkey. So I got a deep fryer at the evil Wal*Mart today for 15 bucks what a deal. I got home and partially thawed my tofurkey I cut the casing off of it and then I proceeded to inject it with a marinade which went all over my kitchen cuboards too lol. I heated up the deep fryer and then put my tofurkey in it, I would deep fry it for about an hour and make sure that it is completely thawed. I had to turn it to fry it all over. I made mashed potatoes and then I made the gravy that came with my feast. I boiled the dumplings and then I served it up and was done. The directions to roast the tofurkey are on the box but I gave directions to deep fry it. Onto the taste rating, this is on a scale of 1-10 one being the worst thing I have ever tasted, i.e. beets and 10 being the best thing I have ever tasted i.e. mana from heaven The dumplings 7.5 The gravy 8 (suprisingly it tasted like gravy) The Stuffing 5 (I can make vegetarian stuffing that tastes better) The Tofurky8 (It's texture was good and it tasted like a light turkey, when I took it out of the package I smelled it and it smelled like turkey)
I think the meal over all was a good meal and tasted good. I can't wait to show up at my family's house and make my tofurkey and see the looks on their faces to find out my food tastes great. Any questions are welcome. WINGS

Good review! Most soy meats I've tried tastes like processed meat with a sponge like texture.

If you go to www.tofurkey.com they give a list of retailers that sell tofurkeys. Thanks for the compliment I guess? WINGS
