I couldn't find a better section for this, save for maybe general.
But what about other game fitness controllers?
The big one I'm thinking about (and am an owner of) is the Powergrid Kilowatt. I've been dying for a forum for this device but the company that makes it won't make one (LAZY) and it's hard to find it (YOU try looking up powergrid kilowatt and finding something that isn't about energy grids =3 ...).
The main reason THEY won't make a forum is because it's difficult to setup a forum that requires all of its users to register with their purchase emails. Why should someone have to purchase it to submit something to the forum?
It's simple : There are too many people out there who don't own one and have never tried one, even for 5 seconds, that have the desire to weigh in on their thoughts of the device, without offering anything constructive to the forum. I suppose a "general" section would solve that, but, well... I still think they're lazy.
Anyhoo, is there any chance we'll see one here? Does anyone here even own onna these things?
Just curious =3

Just curious =3 That's bunk. Proboards (or even Yahoo! Groups) has features that you can use to require an administrator to grant you access to the group or forum. All you do is make the order # a part of the registration process. So yes, they are being lazy. For those who are interested, the Kilowatt's site is here: www.powergridfitness.com/I'm curious as to your impressions Mukiex, on the device. I just don't see isometrics(Static holds) and video gaming mixing very well, and certainly not well enough to justify $800 for a game controller. But, as you've said, I've never used it.

GASP!!!! Holy cow for the serious gamer only!!?? I would never pay that much for a controller. Wait about ten years and they'll be in an affordable price range, thats the way technology works. Maybe it will be sooner, who knows all I know is I'd never pay that much even if I was Well off, my money could be better spent like towards plastic surgery lol. Just kidding but seriously. WINGS

That only applies to technology who's costs are high due to high initial investment costs, like new chips, cirucuits, etc. Something like this isn't really all that complicated technology-wise, but it does require a significant amount of raw materials and labor. Plus, it's not priced/targetted as a game peripheral, it's priced as a piece of exercise equipment. The comparisons are meant to be made with a Soloflex or elliptical trainer, not a Wavebird or Ignition.
This is more likely to be purchased by organizations (schools, gyms, etc) than home users.

It says on their website that they have a home version (called Exer-station) coming out in Jan 2006, at a price of $199.
