I figure start a thread that has nothing to do with DDR but focuses on other accomplishments done to lose weight and keep it off. Quitting chocolate, sugared sodas, etc.
My lil accomplishment today was I ran 6 miles... Just under 45 minutes.
I can't run without music, though. Happy Hardcore all the way for me, that's how it goes.
But yes, I did it. I'm gonna try and increase that, run for a solid hour straight, increase the speed... The other day I did 4 miles in 29 minutes, that's 7:15 minute miles.
Running never replaced DDR, but running does indeed help with DDR and vice versa.

I congradulate you on your running. I can "run" a nice 12 minute mile. hahaha. I'm a sad sight, I hate running, and I do it horribly.

remember when I told everyone how I ran for a half hour and I was soooo proud of myself?? And then I got shin splints and couldn't DDR for like 2 weeks.... yeah, smooth.
BUT - since I started, I have given up soda, candy, sweets in general, RARELY cave in to the power of chips, changed to wheet bread and cut out nearly all starches, and carry a waterbottle with me @ all times.... and have cut back to 3 cigs a day as opposed to like 15 cigs a day. go me.

I gave up cookies and all my sweet baked goods, which was pretty hard to do considering I'm an aspiring chef. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to amuse myself by mixing air in a bowl instead. *sigh*
