Hey well I didn't know if there was a thread on this and maybe I didn't see it but I am starting one on what songs would be cool if they were on DDR. One song that I personally think would be cool cause it is upbeat and has lots of rythym is the finalle song on Lazytown, with out words tho. I know that prolly sounds stupid but I think it would be cool and maybe a lil more hip hop, positive of course. What else would others want?? WINGS

Not sure if anyone has ever heard of the song or the artist... but El Futuro by DJ Venom... holy crap... it would be so effing awesome. Try and find the song if you can and give it a listen.
You can listen to a clip of it on cdnow... from House Blend 8.

Yeah, this topic pops up every 6 months or so, but we're due for it again, so let me sum up past threads(tongue-in-cheek):
Sakura wants anything Green Day Legend wants some top-40 hip-pop SheScreamedClaudio wants some band that sounds like white noise xstatic misses her goth-rock
Me? I want a happy hardcore remix of Chuck Mangione's "Feels so Good"

QOTSA would actually work reeeeaaaaaaally well IMO! Although I wuv my old school goth-rock andrew... did I say I wanted DDR songs with it? Cause I don't see it working... BUT what I would ADORE would be some poppy early 90's dance music. OMG D-lite or ace of base anyone?

Ah, yes, my entry for you came from the "I got nothin'." school of thought. Absolutely, which is why I love Pump up the Volume on Extreme 2. Dee-lite, Ace of Base, Snap, Technotronic... Shoot, I'd even take some C+C music Factory if it came down to it.

Nothing. How about some new original songs on DDR? I hate hearing music that's already popular on there. Most likely, i'm already burned out on it, and if I'm not, I would be. Dont you hear that stuff enough already?

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I have always wondered what kind of steps could be made to the popular songs we all listen to...

That's what StepMania is for X-D! But there are some good techno songs that would be good in a DDR. I have to wonder what Blue ( Eiffel 65 ) would sound like in DDR version, along with other ones, but I can't think of them right now. I don't know. I like hearing new music in there along with the old stuff though. I would throw out just about every mainstream song I've ever heard in DDR if I could. Most of the time, I really am burned out on it, and it's a horrible remake. ( Note that I said almost every one of them... I do like a few ).

I would love to hear my friends songs on DDR (Tho it'll prolly never happen)They have some really ill beats and hip hop is just naturally rythmatic. Lojique rocks thats all. As for MC hammer That would be funny "Hammer Time". How bout New Kids on the Block lol. Some 80's stuff would be coo too. WINGS

we know you can make these songs on stepmania its just we want them in [glow=green,2,300]ddr[/glow] not only for stepmania. anyways thats the fun of this thread. thinking of songs that would work for ddr. i thought of another one. legend saw this too. but on station x (on the detour) there was a song that i dont remember. but if anyone has seen this it goes somthing like "i hold my head to the water".the i hold my head part is done by a male vocalist and the to the water part is done by female vocals. the reason it would be good is because when you hear it it doesnt sound good, but after a while it gets good. also its done by both genders which sound's really good. it allso has a ddr like video in the backround. also the song tell all your friends by orange project is pretty cool. okay the video sucks *****. but after a while it gets kinda stuck in your head and you find yourself singfing it for like 2 hours just using the same part." you can cross that distant ile i'll be waiting for you there".

Yeah, I know about step mania...but that's different people putting their own steps to songs, I want to see what the "masters" think the songs steps should be, that way we have a concrete idea what they want...*cough*...yeeeeeah...

lol. I know what you mean about StepMania. The only good thing is that at least if the steps to a song suck really bad, I still have a song I didn't have before that would've been uber hard to locate.

Great topic :-) I have a few! "Dancin' Machine" by the Jackson 5 (lol get the pun?) "Dare" by Gorillaz (new song, I think it's perfect for DDR) Madonna's "Hung Up" would be a great addition, since she had a Euromix Machine as a prop :-) (and I'll call it a prop, she wasn't really playing it) lol
I have lots more but 3's enough :-D

Omg! A gorrilaz i haven't heard???
I would love to see some of Tatu's songs in a DDR mix. ^_^<3 their music.
And although it probably wouldn't make great DDR music, They Might Be Giants would be funny as heck to try and dance to.
