Me, on Warppipe forums:

Preston Werner, 15, died on Nov. 7th 2005. He was a 10th grader at Maize High School, Maize, KS, and a good friend of mine. He shot himself in the head, and was then put on life support only until they could retrieve whatever organs his parents felt could be donated.

Nobody has a clue why; he left no note. :cry: He was always very happy and bouncy, and knew numerous people. A lot of people.

My condolences on your loss. Suicide is always a tragedy.


And if I may use this as an opportunity for a PSA, depression is a serious issue. If you are having thoughts of hurting yourself, or even wishing that some event would come along and hurt you, talk to someone. There are dozens of anonymous hotlines and other help resources available out there. Even if you aren't depressed yourself, learn the warning signs of suicide and don't be afraid to call out your friends who may be expressing those warning signs.

I don't really want to shift to someone else's tragedy, but just yesterday a 9 year oldfrom around here hung himself... So... it's just not been a good week.
