I'm definately not a newbie to DDR, but I'm kind of a newbie to using DDR to lose weight.
I've been a DDR player for about 2 years. I used to work in an arcade where they had an Extreme machine and I used to get rid of some downtime by popping in a couple of quarters and dancing. I had the game at home, but I spent the money because the game had more songs on there than my DDRMax.
This has been a daily occurance, and before I knew it, people complimented me saying that I have lost weight. About two months later, I had to quit the job. I had started school, and early in my first semester, My mom looked at me and said, "You gained all of that weight back."
Since the holidays and starting school in the winter, I've had no time to really keep up with DDR and the weight keeps piling on. I really haven't officially weighed myself, but I have to be around 250 pounds, the biggest I've ever been. And since I'm a kidney transplant recipient, it would be ideal if I lost the weight for the health of my kidney.
I came to this site to get some advice, support and motivation to get back on the pad and start to lose the weight and keep it off.

Well let me be the first to welcome you to using DDR as a method of weight loss! Just stick to your plan (it's actually harder than you'd think), eat right, and you'll be well on your way!
Good luck! We're all here to help!

WELCOME!!! I'm fairly new here myself. About two weeks or so...
I found watching my serving sizes and trying to eat more healthier choices such as veggies and more fiberous food over fried stuff and meat has helped me the most.
Between school and a part time job, I don't have much time for DDR, plus I'm not very good at it. I started playing it about 4 weeks ago. So if you've gotta any tips for a noob to DDR feel free to share. I'll try and give you help on anything you need too!!
Ciao for now
