Alright, I am ready to loose it, I am about to turn 31 and I got my daughter a dance pad for her birthday and tried it and got tired, and thought I am going to google this! Well turns out others get tired doing the same thing, so here is how I am going to loose the weight I have been putting on. I am 185 lbs today but I jump between 185-195 and I am 5'7" I played on that dance pad (it is not a DDR just a dance maker shinning stars) but I plan on getting a ddr in the next few weeks. But this one after a few minutes I have to sit down. One thing I want to know is how long does it take to get in good enough shape to be able to go hours a day? Btw my Wife is with me on this she just joined too, her user is my3littlegirls

for me it didn't take too long... just because the game was so much fun. I started out on extremely light/easy songs so playing for a long time wasn't a problem. The more advanced you get though, the more stamina you'll need. If you play every day, then the stamina will come relatively fast. Don't play for a while...like a month or so, and bye bye stamina.

Got a ps2 for the ddr but before I could get a pad I got a pad from my brother in law with the xbox and ultramix 1 so I am starting heavy today. Yesterday I did workout mode and did about 150 calories, now today I did 507 calories!! It is so much fun. We bought a second pad and my wife and I have been having a blast getting our workout! I just wish I could hit the steps on the pad on time!!!
