My name is Callie, and I have dealt with being overweight my entire life. I honestly cannot remember a time when I was a normal weight.
My entire childhood fast food, fried food, and unhealthy foods were shoved down my throat, and I was made to believe that it was OKAY to be "Fat".
So the older I got, I grew more. Until one day last year my doctor said "Callie you weigh 220lbs. You are 5ft. You will not grow anymore, and you are in danger of diabetes and heart disease when you get older"
I was scared, but I disregarded it all, and went on stuffing my face.
Through October 2006-January 2007, I ate and ate and ate, Because I thought it was "cute" to constantly eat. I guess I thought that because all the skinny girls did it. ( what I probably didnt realize is that they more than likely threw it all up. )
I went to the doctor due to dizziness, to find out that I had ballooned up to 273lbs. Thats a lot folks. A whole lot. My doctor could care less that I was sick. She was angry that I was endangering my body with toxic foods.
She called the director of a local YMCA and I ended up with a free membership ( since I cant afford one on my own. ) and started working out daily with my best friend.
I quit eating all the bad foods. I lived off salad, and other protein.
I melted off 30lbs from Feb-May.
And stopped.
Dead.
I stopped losing weight, and eventually I quit working out as much.
So fast forward to now. I am the same weight, people say I look like I have lost more, but I havent. I havent gained either though, and I have been eating terribly these past 2 months.
My boyfriend recently moved to north carolina, and we are now living together. He cares about my health and tries to help me lose weight. I was introduced to DDR, and ITG.
About two weeks ago I started playing. A lot. As much as I can possibly take in a single day. And eating better.
I can only play on light, and some light songs I cannot play at all.
But I try harder and harder, until I collapse in a sweaty pool. (exaggeration...on the sweaty part)
I want to know what else I can do to start melting away fat again, I have heard so many success stories with DDR and ITG.
All advice is appreciated. <3
