Hey gang
I lost 35 pounds and i still have about 20-25 pounds to go before i hit my ideal weight, but i've totally lost motivation! I haven't resisted any bad foods andi havnt exercised in weeks. I think it may be due to a new set of pretty tough classes, or i've just lost all self control, but i needa get back on track and i can only do so with some motivation!
so where do you get yours?

Jeez, the list is endless.
Rocky, Arnold, magazines, movies, music, girls, the mirror, my own body...
Well, okay, maybe not endless.

I do Tae Bo, up beat music and Billy Blanks is very motivating with his words, so I'm going fine, just test things out, is all I can truly say.

motivation... I read lots of motivational things. Google DDR SUCCESS STORIES. It worked for me.
Also do everything in the AM. It gives you less time to procrastinate.
Award yourself. Come up with something that you want, and work work work.
You wont get anywhere unless you sweat your ass off. XD

I got addicted to DDR and then ITG. So my motivation...was actually more like a crack addiction. Ever seen the pics "DDR is my Crack" yea...mine too. ITG actually has been my biggest crack problem. I still love DDR dearly, but I found ITG to be more challenging and has more options. Plus...with the arcade version u can download your favorite songs (for stepmania) and plug it into the machine in the arcade. It's great when u can play silly songs, or songs that YOU enjoy, instead of just being tied down to the ones pre-installed with the game. (even though I happen to like them! ) So...maybe the type of music u listen to might help. There are many choices for StepMania. (Basically whatever other people like. Just like file-sharing. If someone else likes it, u'll probably find it) Maybe u should try going with a friend? I've tried with My friends, but they weren't too interested. U never know though, u might have a friend who will join u! I was lucky though and met friends at the arcade who were as addicted to the game as I was, and eventually it became my "hangout." Since people are different, u might want to try keeping pictures around of people in the shape u would like to achieve, or more extreme shape. Kinda like how some people put pics on their fridge. Wait..do they put pictures of what they would NOT like to look like, or WOULD like to look like? Hm..whichever works I guess. For me that probably wouldn't work though. I'm not too sure what other motivation to suggest, because once I started to play, I didn't really have any motivation, except to get better at the game. I didn't realize at the time I was losing as much weight as I now know I lost. (95lbs in a year, without a change in eating habits, calorie counting, or any of that boring stuff. Just...playing) Good luck! ~Fharyn~

My motivation is myself, and wanting to be happy with the way I look! xD It is a realistic image that I plan on reaching and maintaining.

I look at people that have the body I want, and envision myself with that body. This involves a lot of mirror time, so please, you can be vain. Also, I like to play with friends who enjoy the game as well, setting a goal with a friend makes it more easier to deal with. Doing this can also make it like a competition though.

In my family, there's a history of medical problems ranging from cancer to cholesterol to diabetes to heart problems. I just want to do what I can, knowing that I can, to prevent some of these problems and to live a healthy and full life. I'm not here to much to lose weight, but to improve my stamina, cardiac endurance, strength, and overall health (I wouldn't mind losing a few pounds though, but nothing major. Maybe ten or fifteen pounds. Twenty is a stretch for me right now).

For me it's simple. I used to love the way I looked, of course everyone will say they have some flaws. But compared to five years ago I get disgusted with myself when I look in the mirror.
Standing naked, or just in my underwear infront of the mirror, or putting on clothes that no longer fit make me want to be the way I was so badly. It becomes a priority. I miss the compliments I used to get too.
I actually saw a childhood friend/friend of family about a year ago and the first thing she said was "Wow looks like you gained some weight" I didn't even know what to say, mind you she'd always been bigger than me, and had gained quite a bit herself. But I kept my mouth shut.
Lol, I just can't wait to be able to put a bathing suit on and feel good about myself at the same time. That's my motivation. Also the boyfriend, he works out nearly everyday and is as solid as a rock. I find myself embarrassed about myself around him.
Hope you figure out what your motivations are. Good luck! Hope you get back on track soon!!!

Right now my motivations lie in the fact that I'll be seeing my boyfriend in about a month...but since I don't weigh any more than I did when I last saw him, I know it's not just that. I want to be able to have more energy and I am also scared to death of getting diabetes...
