Heya..I'm new to this forum, but I wanted to give my 2-cents. or whatever. heehee. (I'm sure I'll post this story again elsewhere)
I started playing ddr back in later (novemberish?) 2004. Then ITG arrived (started playing that); from that time until november 2005, I lost 95 lbs!! yea!
sadly...however...that november many life changes happened (I won't go into details now, stress, depression, etc.), and I wound up gaining about 100lbs the following year. And kept it all of 2007.
I moved, then moved again, and again...and....(no time to work it off)
Yea....I was pushing close to 300 this summer.
anyway...I'm back where I have access to the game again, and since starting to play again this August, and from August to October I lost 25 lbs!
But...here is my suggestion. If it's junk food u're having a problem with, because it's "FAST" food, maybe u should try weaning yourself onto Subway. =) Seriously....! I worked at a subway for 3 months and ate nothing but (lol), and I started losing weight and I wasn't even TRYING!
I don't have a fast food problem, but I have a friend who does. I notice on her, too, when she starts eating other substitutes for jack in the box, burger king, mc'ds, etc., she'll seem healthier and more active.
Subway is good. And they have many options to choose from. Plus, they try to be a healthier option for the general public. They have nutritional booklets handy. They added milk and raisins, and such. Being a mayo freak, it's nice knowing theirs is light (yet doesn't really taste light!). Okay, ignore that last line. haha!
By the way..I don't know peoples stance on diet sodas...but they have a sugar called Aspartame, and I hear that sugar gives u a craving for carbs and fatty foods (?). Also, I think it causes cancer in lab mice.
But...I'm not good at giving advice, haha. *looks in the mirror*
When I lost all that weight before...all I was drinking was Red Bull and Aqua Fina. I'm not kidding. Red Bull, Aqua Fina, and 7-11 sandwiches (cause my friend worked there, and I wouldn't get home until 1am, because I would be playing at the arcade all night, after work). Probably wasn't the best approach, but I remember after shedding all that weight, It was the healthiest I'd been in a LONG time. Maybe ever (I've always been...*cringes* fat)

DO drink lots of water! I know it may seem like a chore sometimes, but we really take water for granted. I can't stress how much water helps. Try to always carry some in your backpack, car, or wherever u carry stuff. If u're not a water fan, try tasting varies brands. Honestly...some waters taste better than others. (IMO)
Let me know how it goes. And hey...Subway has the family guy game now. The scrabble one they had just ended. Maybe they're trying to be like mcd's and monopoly. *shrug* Kudos for trying.
