I've been doing a lot of reading on intention and cognition lately and came across this article/interview. It's a companion book to any diet or weight loss plan that helps to condition your mind and your way of thinking to help give you more success in your weight loss endeavors (particularly in the areas of motivation, self-monitoring, overcoming negative thoughts, and dealing with cravings and hunger). It's got some good clinical research to back it up (as does Cognitive therapy in general). Hopefully, I'll be able to get my hands on a copy of this book soon, and if/when I do, I'll post a more comprehensive review.

I read that article a few days ago!
It's really been helping me out a lot, I think. Learning to re-work my thoughts, especially, not to worry about being hungry (sometimes I eat just to avoid the possibility of being hungry later). With me, I can stick with a diet plan for a while, but unless I really do think differently about my eating patterns, I always slip back to the way I used to be. Hopefully this'll help me to change my habits for good.
If you could post a full review, that'd be really neat--I might consider buying the book.
