Okay, so I do know I do a few of these posts, but I just had another one of those horrible shopping experience days yesterday.
Where pretty much every store I went into didn't have my size or they did but the jeans just would not fit right.
I am sure probably a lot of you have had this problem, and it is really quite frustrating, almost to the point of tears for me.
So last night with my boyfriend we made up an exercise plan, and I think it sounds pretty good but I would really love suggestions or comments about if it is enough, or what should be changed, or really anything :]
Pretty much, this is what it is:
Mon- Friday: Walking for an hour every day at the park ( around 5:30 or 6 am because in Arizona it is like 110 degrees by 8)
Mon, Weds, Fri: DDR for 30 min to an hour ( probably after the hour or so of walking)
3 times A week: Go to Curves for 30 minutes ( It would never be the same days every week considering schedules and stuff)
Weekends: At least one hour of some kind of physical activity, like bike riding, yoga or hiking.
So that is the plan, of course I will be doing my best to eat lots of fruit and veggies and lean means, whole grains, etc.
My sister, who I work with, Is shopping today to get lots of little veggie packs and fruit cups and water for the showroom we work at to keep in the fridge.
Does this exercise plan sound like too little or too much? Or do you guys think it would be perfect to really get me going on losing the weight?
Thanks very much :]

I always make sure to take one day off, a whole day without exercise (although the walking thing would be fine by me). Make sure you enjoy what your doing.
Do you get weight training at Curves?
I would also have a DDR backup plan since you'll probably miss some of the early morning walks and from what you say it's not worth walking later in the day.
I would also include a jogging regimen into the walks, like walk 10 mins, jog for 2 mins, something like that to get more out of the hour long walks. Something you can improve on over time to increase your stamina and overall fitness.

The alternating of Jogging and walking sounds like a great idea :]
I have read on a few different sites and in magazines that it is more effective than just single paced walking.
And yeah, I will definitely need a backup exercise for when I can't walk outside, which will probably be DDR.
Also, my boyfriend and I plan do go to an indoor skating rink maybe a couple of times a month in addition to the exercise plan, and swimming maybe once a week.

This isn't the first time I've seen this advice on here. Is there a medical reason for taking a break? Well, being prayerwarrior I'm a committed christian and I believe that my God had a good reason to ask that I rest for a day. I think there are medical studies that show it's good for you, but my primary reason is found in the 10 commandments.

Failure to do so greatly increases your risk of injury, as you re-stress muscles and ligaments that haven't had proper time to heal.

So then If I did do walking every day, even on resting days, is that still safe? Or possibly swimming on the resting day? Or should I just have a day where i completely avoid exercising?

Yeah, general, light activity on your "rest" days is fine.
