I agree that the boards seem to have sort of lost the focus on weight-loss support. Talking about DDR games and scores is fun and I like that too but I used to read the weight-loss threads to keep me on track too with my diet and food and that part has kind of slacked off.

...well...being that I've gained weight in the last 2 months...I try avoiding the topic because it gets me all moody and angry. I think what we need is some more inspiration.... a new member who is on the fast slope down...that's always motivating to me.

Exactly. I think that whoever takes the time to read this post should really reply. I think we have lost focus most definetly! I came on here not only because I liked DDR, but because I knew that we could lose weight with it. That is what I want to hear on here, not how you got an a++ on Supernova or something-lol.

Also, don't just wait around for other people to post so you can reply, post your own questions! This thread, for example, is great. Ask questions, get opinions, get involved. I'll be the first to admit I've been a bit lax in writing up some articles/FAQs for different weight loss topics, and I'll try to get back on track. Honestly, we should probably dig up some of the older "standard" questions from a few years back and revive them. There are enough people here now that weren't here then that could certainly benefit from the info.

Like me. I was new, and that was basically all that I looked for. Weight loss stories and advice. Not scores. Not to get off topic or anything but....TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY

Happy belated birthday! ;D
Scores are good too... it keeps some people focused with specific goals. It's another element to the goal setting factor for some people...myself included. But don't fret... these have specific areas on this board. Share your accomplishments thread and sometimes people's own personal thread... this is completely appropriate.
I'm all about keeping other topics and focuses alive and well on the board though. Have at it!

I'm new here, and I especially love the posts about specific tips of losing weight--like the fidgeting thread, water drinking thread, etc. I love this forum!
