From my 'Getting Personal' thread ( getupmove.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=Social&action=display&thread=1116949971) I sweat a LOT and so i really need to drink alot too or else I'll get dehydrated. I seem to not lose my energy so fast when i drink Gatorade (lime flavour for the win) rather than drinking water (because of the electrolytes and everything in it), but there is 200 calories in 32 fl oz and so it doesn't exactly help for weight loss. Is there some type of drink LIKE Gatorade but without all the sugar in it? 56g of sugar in 32 fl oz is quite a bit considering how much of it i can drink. Sure, its better than say... Mt. Dew which has 46g of sugar 12 fl oz, but who would drink mt dew while exercising anyway? I figured i'd get a better response here rather than hidden in some paragraph of my personal thread. So, anybody know of a gatorade like drink just without the sugar? Any other drinks you might suggest?

In Africa they give children suffering from severe diarrhea from illness abc a mixture of Water, Salt and Sugar. You MIGHT be able to substitute the sugar with some no-calorie BS, but it wouldn't taste good. At all.

You know why you don't lose energy as fast with the Gatorade? It's not the electrolytes, it's the sugar, at least in the early going. The sugar goes straight to your bloodstream, giving you ready energy. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, it is a little counterproductive for weight loss (we want your body to have to dig into and convert your fat reserves to energy). To reduce the calories, try doing a 50/50 mix of water/Gatorade. You still get the flavor, you still get some electrolytes (and even at your size, you aren't losing that much in the Electrolyte department), but you're at half the calories.
