Is there such a thing as over doing it when it comes to DDR? My current DDR work out average is about 750 kcal per session, the length of time to reach this is going down due to song difficulty going up. Tonight i did a hour and a half session on standard 6 footer songs and got to my goal.
Is this over doing it for a 225 pound 6 foot 4 guy? I am worried about losing muscle while keeping fat if my body goes into starvation mode. i haven't changed my diet dramatically (no more then a 500 cal swing +/- per day). I have yet to collapse or even feel bad after my sessions.
I would really like someone else's opinion on this. thanks in advance.

There is such a thing as overdoing it with DDR, but you're nowhere near that level yet. Starvation mode isn't your prime worry with the exercise. Starvation mode really only kicks in with a consistent very low calorie diet. If you're keeping you calories somewhat up (and it sounds like you are), the only thing you need to watch for is muscle fatigue, and making sure you allow yourself a rest day here and there to let your muscles rebuild and let any small tears repair themselves. You'll know that pain when you feel it.
Just keep on keepin on, you're doing just fine.

It is gory. Trust me. x.x I once lost my vision for about 5 minutes after playing ddr for 2 hours -- *that* scared the bejeezus out of me -- but it was mostly because I wasn't eating right, not because of the exercise itself.
Sometimes it helps to eat something small with protein right before and after a workout -- maybe a light yogurt, some nuts, reduced-fat/low sodium peanut butter, or some lean turkey, ham, etc. It gives you energy to go into the workout, and it helps to rebuild your muscles more quickly after the workout.

well, I doubt thats overdoing it as long as you're hydrated and making sure you arent in pain. I played DDR once for nine hours, taking very small breaks to drink water and stretch. It was, well, insane =D.
