I first played DDR around december, but didn't really get in to it until about three weeks ago. So far I have lost between ten pounds, and quit drinking soda, only water and coffee in the mornings. My problem with dieting comes in the form of Vegetables; Not only do I hate them, but most of them make me throw up. oh yeah, I am also a poor musician/writer, there is absolulty no money in this so far, so sometimes it is a little hard to afford anything but the cheap junk.
So, I weigh 310 pounds and am shooting for 200, with short term goals of 5 to ten pounds a week. this may be a little too lofty, but what the hey I am tired of being obese.

Sounds as if you are off to a good start by cutting out soda. I do not think you have to eat your veggies to lose weight (but they sure are good for you).
A fellow dieter here at work has lost 30 lbs so far with the closest thing she eats to a vegetable being a potato. I think ultimately if you cut your caloric intake and exercise more you will lose weight.
A good start might be to set a daily range of allowed caloric intake and keep a journal of each day's food intake and any exercise you performed. Just writing it down is a great accountibility tool.
Good Luck!!!

As a former veggie-vomiter, I know it's you that's making you throw up, not the vegetables. Try and expand your horizons a bit, and you can develop a taste for them. Take it slow, with a small amount in a larger dish that's otherwise acceptable to you. That's how I got over it.
Until then, make sure you're taking a daily multivitamin, and keep the meat you eat lean.
