I noticed ever since I started to do Heavy Doubles, my stamina in singles has rose exponentionally and it occurred to me: I'm starting to get stretch marks showing up in my skin, which I'm sure happens when you start to lose weight aftering being rather large. So I was wondering, would doing doubles burn more calories? At times you're actually traveling a small distance across the pad, like jogging and the twists are sometimes harder to pull off, so I figured it was only natural that it did, indeed, burn more calories.

According to workout mode, doing a song on doubles burns a good bit more calories. Calories burned by doing a doubles song on light is the same as doing a regular standard song for me.

Since you move your center of gravity a whole lot more, you are doing more work. More work means more energy. I didn't know that Workout Mode was set up to function differently for Double, but it definitely makes sense.
