Mmm you'll have to be a bit more specific... do you have any links? Brands? Even restaurants that hold them? I wouldn't think so, though the closest thing I eat like that is lactose free, sugar free, cholestoral free ice cream (sorbet, whatever) which tops off at 100 calories per half cup and tastes great. Maybe if they can implement that into ice cream they can do it for milkshakes as well

You mean like Slim-Fast? They're fairly small, and fairly calorie dense. I found that they weren't enough food for me for breakfast and lunch, and that I was WAY too hungry by the time dinner rolled around. Your mileage may vary.

Remember to have a "sensible" dinner.

Ok let me be a little more specific. My uncle is gonna give me this stuff you add skim milk to it and it is supposed to make you lose weight. He is a football coach at gives it to the players to help them loose weight he has lost about 30 pounds doing it so far.

Well, for what it's worth, here is my opinion:
Yes, you may end up losing weight on the shakes, but you will probably end up feeling less than satisfied. You might also have cravings by not eating as much real food. Also, even if you do lose weight, you can't stay on the shakes forever. So when you start eating normally again, you are likely to put all the weight back on (and possibly more) unless you are willing to eat really healthily. And so if you are going to need to do that eventually, why not just start doing it now and skip the shakes?
You didn't say how long you were going to do it, either. I mean, if you are going to do it for a week to help boost your weightloss and then start eating healthy after that, I guess that would be ok. But I wouldn't do it long-term.

What is this shake exactly? He might be talking about whey protein. I add a scoop to skim milk and it provides a toal of 30gr of protien per shake (which is a ton of protien!). You use it after you work out, becuase what happens when you use muscles you cause microtrauma to them (thats why they feel sore . Protiens and Amino Acids help rebuild the muscles and they become even stronger. Whey protein has plenty of both of these. As we know, muscle is "‘metabolically active," and every pound of muscle you have burns an extra 50 calories per day. So adding a little lean muscle mass does a ton for burning fat . Whey protein is more of a suppliment, and should not be sued as a meal replacement. Itjust gives you those extra grams of protien and essentail amino acids we need.
