I didn't ad to my other tread because this is kinda different. It was mentioned that when you go off weight watchers you go on a 6 week program to find out what you need to consume to maintain your weight after you've reacher your goal, and I was wondering how if you're not on a weight loss program to do the same thing. For example, if I hit 130-135 I wouldn't want to keep losing weight, definately nor would I want to gain. Does anyone have any tips on how to maintain a healthy weight once you've accomplished it?

At Weight Watchers to maintain your weight you use a kinda trial and error formula. We use points, but roughly 1 point is 50 cals, so I will use calories. Start adding back 100-200 calories a day for a week while maintaining your current exercise level. If you still continue to lose weight up the calorie intake the next week another 100-200. You keeping adding till you maintain or if you gain you will subtract back some calories. Eventually you will find your own personal equilibrium. Everyone is different. : I also found this website where it roughly tells you a calorie count to maintain. It was prettly close because I have found in the past my calorie count to be around 1900-2000 if I am exercising, and the site said 2100. www.cancer.org/docroot/PED/content/PED_6_1x_Calorie_Calculator.asp?sitearea=PEDI can't wait till I am at goal and can eat 2000 calories. ;D -Michelle
