I was just wondering if energy drinks like....red bull and monster were ok for you to have while DDRing because i recognize the awesome amount of energy then give me to keep going.
So.....my question really is: Do the benefits of those kind of drinks outweigh the negatives?

Bad.
They're high sugar, high artificial stuff, and they've got a mix of stimulants that serve little other purpose than to give you a temporary boost to your adrenaline levels. They're adding more calories to your system than they're helping you burn off. Water is best, it helps keep your body moving toxins out of your blood stream, keeps you hydrated, etc.

gatorade and stuff is good though, dont count those in the same catagory as products like Bawls, Red Bull, and Monster. Gatorade/Powerade ect ect has special formulas in them to help keep water in your body, great for DDR

If you want some energy...considering you are about to have a good cardio/ddr session. I would suggest eating some pasta or that type of food. It will give you energy (that you HAVE to burn off) and fulfill your hungry. =)

And unless you're playing DDR for 3+ hours, you're probably not losing enough electrolytes to need to drink a sports drink.

It will give you energy (that you HAVE to burn off) and fulfill your hungry. =) Again, unless you're doing a marathon session of DDR, carb-loading isn't going to be necessary, and will be detrimental to weight loss. High-performance athletes, who have very little body fat/energy reserve, need to carb load before, say, running a marathon. They don't carb load before running a 10K. If you carb load, yes, your body will have plenty of energy. But it won't need to dig into your fat reserves at all.

In my drugs and health class we learned that An Energy Drink can have the same amount of caffeine as 3 cans of coke. And there is also lots Guarana which contributes to that.

If you want a good boost of energy, try taking B vitamins every morning. They're awesome! I've been taking one every day and my energy level has been wonderful! It's also a constant level of energy so you don't experience the crash that can come after the effects from one of those nasty energy drinks wears off. Besides, I don't care what anyone says I'm not drinking something called "taurine".....
