I really don't know when to eat something in relevance to when I play DDR. I want to get the most oout of my DDR experience .aka. metabolism. I just want to know when it is right to eat something.

Since you're better off making small lasting changes in your diet, why don't you walk us through a typical day, and we'll suggest some substitutions, or timing changes that might help you out.

If you add in that banana before DDR, that only makes 1 fruit/vegetable per day!! Add in some more fruits and vegetables throughout your day!

I would suggest eating your big meal for lunch, that way you burn most of it off during your DDR session. Then eat a good healthy dinner and portion yourself so you are satisfied but not stuffed.

1. as already mentioned, eat more fruits/vegetables. Particularly vegetables, as the fiber helps clean out your system.
2. You seem to have a lot of high-sugar foods. You'll proably want to cut back on that. Items I see are: white bread and jelly at breakfast, bread, jello, pudding, nutrigrain bar (and possibly ham if you're doing honey ham) at lunch, noodles and rice at dinner. Switch out to sugar free or whole grain where you can. You'll get more fiber, and a lot less calories.
As for bananas, the benefits are that their high in potassium, which can prevent cramping. But again, most people here aren't playng DDR at a high enough level for long enough for that to be a factor. A daily multivitamin will suffice. The downside to bananaas is that they are one of the highest sugar fruits around.
Now I'm not saying you have to go on a low carb diet, but you should convert the carbs you are eating into complex carbs. Complex carbs take longer to digest, so you feel fuller longer. They take more energy to process in your body, so they add fewer calories to your diet. And they do't provoke as strong of an insulin response. Insulin promotes the storage of fat, and too much insulin in your system leads to desensitizing of your body to insulin. Which in turn leads to insulin resistance, and type II diabetes.
