Hey everyone. I've been playing DDR since about 2002 now but never consistently. I've been overweight most of my life and I've decided to start being consistent.
I can play a lot of songs on standard so I've got an advantage I think. I play for about 30-60 minutes a day 5-6 days a week. I started my routine last week and I've lost about 8 pounds. My diet consists of energy shakes for breakfast and lunch, a nutri-grain bar or other low-cal snack midday and a decent sized meal for dinner. I try to use to Lean Cuisines as a crutch but if it looks like I won't be able to have one I'll usually opt out on something else to stay below 1500 calories, or at least under 2000.
My goal is to be about 180 pounds, which for my height my BMI says I'll still be overweight but since I'm gonna be on my feet 15-18 hours a day this summer with few meals in-between (I'm working at an amusement park as a ride operator on an intense water ride) as well as visiting the gym and the lovely DDR Extreme machine in the park, I should be burning fat while building muscle at the same time. So the BMI would be about right. I should be able to be about half way or maybe even 3 quarters of the way to my goal by the time I'm ready for college this September.

Hey! Good luck and welcome. the only thing that I find might be a problem in what you're doing is the shake for breakfast and lunch. You'll be missing out on variety, and things in other foods that you can't get in the shakes. I have a bit of an addiction to thats damned lean cuisines, but they are really good. They are sort of my crutch too.
