One I would like to say that not only do I think working out through DDR is great, but the postive energy in this place is not only refreshing but encouraging.
At moment I am trying to reach my goal weight of 122 (or a fit trim body whichever comes first;) At moment i am 139lbs, 5'5 and consume 1500-1600 calories a day.
My question is how many calories is it safe for me to burn a day? I want to have results but i don't want to go into starvation either. I would like to lose 2 pounds a week if possible and I have read in my weight range it is but I don't want to do so at the risk of my health. I have just started working out two weeks ago and have yet to lose anything but not to concerned at moment given my weight already. Here is what i am doing so far.. 1500-1600 calories a day. 30-35 mins for 5 days on ddr on light (its still pretty damn hard for me right now step wise) and 3 days a week I do 20 mins of strength training.
Basically i burn about 400 a day through excercise. can I do more? Is that healthy? Whats my limit?
Thank you so much in advance.

if you dont have much fat on you at the moment and you keep burning calories your body will start breaking down muscle. my advice is burn about half as many calories as you consume and leave the rest for every day activities.

Well, i'm no expert, but eating 1500-1600 calories a day should be perfectly fine, thats about the range I shoot for myself, and i'm a good bit larger than you are, it is by no means a starvation diet. And you'll be fine doing 30-35 minutes of DDR with some strength training mixed in there, many people play DDR for an hour or more a day, and probably eat about the same number of calories and they're just fine.
Stick with it, and i'm sure you'll reach your goal!

Some days, I actually have a hard time reaching 1500 calories. I'm not starving either, and tend to even eat some big lunches plus two snacks a day.
It's all in what you eat. Fruits, low fat foods, and the like will often yield more nutrition with fewer calories if you can get into the habit of eating them.
