Hey, I was just wondering if anyone knows if lean cuisines are actually okay for you to eat. They taste good, and my family is big on tv dinners. Are these a good choice? or is maybe Healthy choice or SmartOnes better? Any info on these would be great

I've eaten both Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice. I like them both, and would be willing to say that they (combined w/ DDR) are probably how I am losing weight right now. I know it would be better for me to make fresh food and not eat stuff with preservatives and all the chemicals that prepackaged food contains. However, I hate cooking after I get off of work, and with the LC and HC, at least it's easy for me to monitor my caloric intake per meal, and the portions are pre-controlled for me. I have a big problem with portion control. My eyes always seem to triple the amount of food that I actually need. I do try and cook meals on days when I am not working, and I try to be more reasonable about the amount of food I put on my plate. I find it difficult to eat only a fist-sized amount when my boyfriend and roommates fill their plates up and gobble it all down with gusto (and never gain a pound). I have a long way to go before I'm confident about how much food I need per meal. That's my take on microwaveable diet food. I've found it helpful so far, but I look at it more as a crutch than a lifestyle. Eventually I want to cook every day and be healthy about it, but I'm still working on it. UJKitten

Lean Cuisine is ok, but it doesn't fill me up very well.
Couscous is my personal "miracle" food. Fluffy, tasty, and filling.
