My dad bought me DDR2 Ultramix for XBox for my birthday yesterday, and I was blown away by how active it made me. Ive played in arcades before, but I tried it in workout mode for an hour and it said I burned 580 some-odd calories. Ive wanted to lose a few pounds, and I was wonder if DDR was the way to do it. I work full times nights (at Wendy's, so the weight-loss Gods are against me) and go to school during the day, so I can only fit in about an hour, at most, of play time each day. Is that enough? Does anyone have any tips on how to work out a consistant workout plan? Any tips would be great ;D

An hour is plenty.
As far as a workout plan goes, just make sure you play. Play when you can, but try to make it at least three times a week. Even if it's only for one set of 3 songs. Make it part of your regular routine, and a lot of the other stuff will take care of itself.

I'm on light right now. I'm still trying to master the coordination between my feet and my brain. The only problem I'm having is my dance pad sucks, and if I step flat-footed on the right arrow it triggers the Y button, so it disables the top button so I have to dance on my toes which has been terrible on my legs. I could barely walk yestrday! I hope it will pass though

It will pass. Your calves just aren't used to the workout yet. They'll tone up in no time, as long as you make sure to take a day off here and there to let your body adjust/rebuild the muscle.
