Hi my name is luke and i am 20 years old. i stumbbled across this web site while looking for a new dance pad. i am overweight and i am currently on the DDR diet. i read alot of the posts and everyone seems real cool here so i thought i could give and get some motivation by posting. My back round is that i was the rebel skater in high school and I was in very good shape but then i graduated and got a desk job and started college and started gaining weight. i got very lazy and anti-social beacuse of my weight and i was depressed i got a gym membership to almost every gym and showed little to no results. then i saw ddr at the arcade one night and thought man those guys are sweating! so i went out the next day and bought ddr max 2 and started playing that was 8 day ago and i weighted 271.5 now in just 8 days of diet and ddr i am down to 266! thats 5.5 pounds. i feel great! my goal is to be down to 220 by summer time! thanks for reading guys i will post with updates

Welcome, Luke! It's really sad that desk jobs do this to our bodies. You forget how walking from class to class is acutally really good for you. Best of luck reaching your goals!

day 11 im still going strong every day on ddr im up to 45 min in workout mode and burrning 930 cals! i cant wait till im up to 1000 a workout. but im really into my diet now its becoming easier and easier to eat healthy, im loving it. good food makes you feel good. unlike pizza and taco bell. subway is now my lunch break instead of del taco or other junk! i love the 6in turkey w/ cucumber tomato and pickle no cheese no oil or vinegar. reading everyones posts really motivates me and keeps me on track. i feel better than i have in a long time! quick question does any one have a red octane ignition pad i was going to get one but wanted to see what you guys think of it, thanks! 200 lbs here i come

The ignition is a good solid pad, though a bit pricey (you can find knockoffs for half the price). I'd like a little thicker foam insert, but the PS & Xbox compatibility are nice.

I got a Red Octane pad for my birthday last April and it's still going strong. I've been really happy with it. If you order it from RO, order the extra pad inserts so that you can replace them when they get all squished.

16 pounds in 27 days!! Thats quite a lot quite fast. I'm sure you've read other stuff about getting at least X # of calories/daily so you don't start starving. I'm happy for you but be careful!
Also lift some weights, you could be at risk for losing some muscle in your upper body when you lose weight fast.
Other than that, keep drinking that water, and keep it up! Congrats!

16lbs in 27 days is a lot, but don't expect it to continue at that rate, and don't get discouraged when it doesn't.
