I wish anyone was considerate enough to me to let me sleep instead of playing loud video games, but no roommates have ever cared that much , and most of my family goes to bed before me so I'm the one that had to stay quiet. Its frustrating having a big break in you schedule because of something you can't control, and gaining "it" back sucks. It sounds like your brother is milking his recovery for all its worth, and since you're siblings I'm sure there's things you have both done in the past that you would get the other back for if you could, but since he did just have some surgery he probably deserves to be a dork for a while. Don't feel horrible about yourself. Just smile sweetly when your brother is complaining about your noise, turn it off, and pretend it doesn't get to you _at all_. He'll give up the complaining about it so much if it doesn't seem like it bothers you. (I love my little bro dearly but I do things just to piss him off pretty often without even thinking about it, and I'm 22 so you'd think I'm past it...) And try swimming or something if you have a YMCA around... generally there's a lot to do there. As for your family visiting with the food, get some self control and you'll be fine. Overall, don't feel bad about something that won't go on forever. It'll all be over and be nothing but a memory soon enough.

The important thing is that you caulght it in time before it became more. Its pretty easy to gain five pounds considering how hard it is to loose that much some times. Have you tried playing while he's asleep already really softly? That way it can't bother him unless he's a really light sleeper. Or can you move the game to down stairs so you don't get the pounding noise. It's really important not to lose hope however. He can't be sick forever, and sometimes when the whole family acts normal, it can encourage the person who is sick to get well faster. Remember, his health is important, but so is yours.

thanks for the replies guys, i live. lol! I was just venting my frustration in one of those girl anger moments. lol! Anyways, I'll just have to try extra hard to loose ten pounds, and that way if I gain back five I'll still be a little lighter.
