I went to some other forum and I noticed that others have lost weight on ddr as well. Although the problem they all complained was that they generally only lost weight on their calves and legs. It also made them extreamly bulky in that area too. I don't mind the bulkiness but if it's true that you'll only loose weight on the legs then I wouldn't know if i should continue this because my legs are already lean and muscular. I need weight loss on my upper body, belly, and arms. Anybody have comments about this theory? Also I noticed that constant playing of DDR made my legs really miserable feeling. Sure I sweat a bit but i cant get my heart pumping high enough.

You cannot spot reduce. Let me repeat that. YOU CANNOT SPOT REDUCE. That's not how weight loss works. You burn calories, and your body needs more energy, so it diigs into your enegry reserves (fat). It's all metabolized in your core, and has to be transported, so your body pulls from your fat reserves all over. You will get more tone in your lower body than your upper body by playing DDR, but that's muscular. If you want to work your upper body a bit more, hold some light dumbells (<7lbs) while you play.
Define miserable feeling in your legs. Weak? Joint pain? Muscle pain? How long are you playing? How often? My guess is you probably are at a point where you need to kick up the difficulty of what you're playing. You may also be playing too long, or too often, and not allowing yourself to rest and let the muscles rebuild/recuperate.
