hey guys! I'm a new member joined a while ago on a dif user name um... forgot the password lol. Well anyways here I am. I just wanna share that I just started a diet a lil over a month ago and I lost 20 lbs. already. Not a fad diet, not starvation... I went a regular diet. No cutting carbs out, no taking yolks out of eggs. Just a regular diet, eat good stuff, eat the RIGHT carbs, and very few sweets (altho i still have some rarely) And lots of ddr! I play 4-6 times a week and burn 300 - 500 calories. And it's way easier to play heavy songs once you lose 20 lbs. I felt it after 5! I always hear about fad diet... and i've been down the atkins, south beach, and starvation path. believe me it only works for so long before you either quit or gain even more back. Anyways for motivation for everyone else. Here's a be4 and after pic of me. And thats motivation cuz if I can do it... anyone can. BEFORE AFTER

Sweetie, you are adorable ;D. I understand about not cutting anything out of your diet.. Fads are what they are... Fads.. If you feel that leaving the yolk in will make you happy (even though it's loaded with colestorol) then go right ahead.. I do the same.. ;D.. Don't feel pressure to cut anything out.. You've already lost 20 pounds so you're in a good direction. Welcome!!! to the board hun, and keep up the good work. ;D ;D
Remember, there are no Doctors on this board. So if you have a diet question (ie, What to eat and when), consult a Nutritionist, because no one on this board knows your body type and metabolism speed... What works for one person, may not work for you..
Take care Mistic..

I want to try the normal, healthy diet. My mom got all wound up because I had a sausage for brunch...but how was I to know?
*despairing sigh*
Yes, I know it's a bit melodramatic, but I had a craving for Polska Kielbasa.

ahhhh sausage... see the good thing about my mom being a health freak is that she finds diet food that doesnt suck. and i kno sometimes u just get a craving for something. So try this Duckie, go to the frozen section of your supermarket by all the frozen breakfast stuff. There's a brand called "boca" They make vegiterian lean food. My Mom got the boca sausage and i was thinkin... sausage that isnt sausage... this is prob gonna suck but i tried it. Tasted better than the real stuff cuz it wasnt so fatty and other than that tasted like sausage. I made my bf try cuz he didnt believe me Anyways try it... its good stuff

I'll try to get some. The prob with the sausage is that my stepdad loves it so he gets 4 every week.

you cant follow a fad diet and expect it to work out for you. That's my opinion. my diet that i am doing now is strictly my own as well. Vegetarian with ddr. Working really well so far, but I don't know about weight loss.

I'm not vegan so I still eat the dairy products. I'm getting a good deal of my protein there. Also, i've ben eating fish. No light headed-ness yet. If that ends up happening, I'll go on a protein supplement. I haven't eaten meat in almost two months, and nothing has happened yet.

It really depends on the person. Some people need a lot of protien, some don't. I've been veg. for a long time now, and haven't have any adverse affects. My blood is really healthy, I have crazy thick hair and nails, and have never felt light headed or dizy from lack of protien. My body does not need meat to function, but yours might. It's also pretty easy to get protien now-a-days with soy everything.
