Hey guys I'm getting back into doing the DDR. I recently got a new dance pad which is really nice so it makes it easier to do. Also I got the DDR 2 for christmas as well for the x box. I am starting to really watch what I eat and keep track of calories. Ok here is the question. I'm doing the excercise for about 30 to 45 minutes a day (ok not every day but 5 of the 7 this week)...I'm on light mode because I'm still working up to standard mode but at the end I'm not sweating or feel like it was a kick butt work out (you know like kick boxing let's say)....do I need to up the level or can you still get in shape and lose weight on the lower levels?

I know I know like nothing, but...
I've barely started. I sweat and get my heart rate up on light mode. I started on Thursday, and light mode still challenges me. I think that you need to do a level that challenges you to get a, well, lot of workout out of it. I'm sure that your still getting some workout from standard, but the more you're challenging yourself with it, the more workout it will be. I think. Everyone may correct me if I'm wrong. ^#^

Yeah good point.......maybe I'll start trying some standard songs I just get frustrated because they go so fast. It seems like the levels are more difficult on the second game than the first....

You can also try using a speed mod on the light songs. that way the arrows move faster on the screen, so you have less time to react. It will help improve your arrow reading skills, and it can also up your workout in intensity a bit, since you have to move a bit faster.
