So many people come on this board and cry for help for weight loss....and no wonder it is confusing with so many diets and mixed messages.. So let me SIMPLIFY.. Think how easy it is to save a little bit of $..WITHOUT sacrificing desire...... You split an entree when you eat out..dont buy the fancy coffee but drink a wholesale priced mineral water, buy your books discounted at Amazon with super saver shipping , use coupons...etc. IT ADDS UP...
Same with weight loss.
LITTLE THINGS ADD UP...you buy the salad and get the dressing on the side, WALK wherever you can instead of getting a ride.... drink water instead of soda.. cut your calories back 5% a day and save 10 pounds a year... ITS NOT HARD SO DO IT!

Consistency is the key. Doing little things every once and a while won't help you. You need to do a little bit every single day.
I don't know about everyone else, but I got overweight by bingeing. I had become so accustomed to bingeing that I thought that it could help me lose weight. I would binge on exercise and sacrifice instead of sweets and treats. That method works for awhile, but it all comes back to consistency.
When I eat healthy meals and exercise reasonably every day, I feel better and I am much more successful at losing weight.
