Anyone roughly know how long it will take me to lose 10 lbs doing about 40 minutes of DDR a day? I usually burn about 400 calories doing it. Thanks for any help.

okay well sorry I didn't explain very well, hehe. I'm about 10-15 pounds overweight, and I usually eat pretty healthily, bout 1500 calories a day. But it IS the holidays and I'm finding it hard to resist chocolate and whatnot .

Unfortunately, nobody can really say how long it will take to lose a certain amount of weight. There are just too many variables involved, from nutrition to body composition, etc.

There is another danger to putting a time limit on it. It can really affect your motivation. If you don't make the time limit, you start to feel like you did something wrong or that it "isn't working."
About a year ago, I realized that I had been working on this for over a year and I hadn't hit my goal weight yet. This really discouraged me because I thought that I should be there by now.
I totally ignored that I had lost 50 pounds and my body needed to recover from that initial loss. All I could see was that I wasn't at my goal yet. I felt like it wasn't working, even though I had lost so much weight.
Just make small changes do your diet and exercise regimen. Keep up with it and you will get there. Iamjay is right it doesn't matter how long it takes.

Have you realized how too easy it is to loose all those calories on ddr? Studies show that more weight and height means you will burn calories quite fast. The ddr calorie burned thing maybe wrong depending on your weight. Since your only a few pounds over weight then it'd probably take a healthy half pound to a pound a week to loose fat and not loose your muscle with it too. Trust me it's hard for me to loose too.

Take it from me.. Dont put any kind of time limit about losing weight...... I tried it once and it got me really depressed when I did not make my deadline, ah well, what I would do is take a stable course bout losing weight. It lost me bout 30 KG spread over a year nya ^^ and it's a lot safer
