Eat lunch. Skipping meals is bad.
Why can't you bring lunch?

You have to eat lunch.
Believe it or not, you probably need what they give you. I don't know what it's like at other schools, but at mine you can pick and choose things you want, including fruit, soups, veggies, juices, etc.

Why can't you bring your lunch? If you pack it the night before, you can just grab it out of the fridge in the morning.
A sandwich with whole wheat bread, carrot sticks, fruit, a small bottle of milk and a low-calorie treat to look forward to is an easy lunch to make and very compact to bring. If the lunch box is thermal, then you don't have to worry about keeping it chilled.

i cant bring lunch because we dont have lockers and i really cant carry a lunch around all day because i already have to carry my books plus my clarinet for band... what would be the best choice for a school lunch? we are usually served chicken sandwiches, salad, cheeseburgers, pizza, fries, or a hot lunch (fried chicken, lasagna, etc...)

A lunch can be small enough to fit in your backpack. I've seen backpacks with clip on lunch boxes. It's possible to bring your lunch (if not inconvenient).
As far as healthy choices with school lunch, salad is a good choice, but you need to put the salad dressing in a separate cup and dip your fork into it instead of putting the dressing on the top. A salad can be as many calories as a slice of pizza if you put too much dressing on it.
Try to choose items without a lot of sauces on them. If there is a lot of sauce, wiping it off will help lower the calorie count. Most of the time, the meal choices aren't all that bad, it's the desserts and side dishes that really kill you. Try to be the person who gives away the dessert every day. You're friends will think you're a hero and you'll be healthier because of it.
You can do this. There are no foods that you CAN'T eat. If they are rich, just eat smaller portions of it. Cut the pizza in half and give the rest away. When I was in school, I always had a friend who was thin as a rail and constantly starving. Just give half of your food to that friend and you'll both be happy.
